Meet Our Physicians

Kara C. Farley, M.D.

Family Minded

When away from patient care, I spend as much time with my family as possible.  We have been blessed with a one year old baby girl and a three year old little boy. They keep us on our toes and always know how to have a good time. I also enjoy running marathons and traveling. My husband and I are private pilots and enjoy flying around Texas, IFR conditions permitting of course.

Professional and Military Trained

I am a veteran, wife, mother of two and a physician. I am a family woman and I take pride in my role in the community as a primary care physician and business owner.  I always knew I wanted to be a doctor since I was a little girl. One of the aspects of practicing medicine that appealed to me was providing service to others. Practicing the past several years as a Naval Flight Surgeon has allowed me to provide a service to my country as well as the honor of caring for our active duty military members. After completing my last tour in July 2020, I started Blue Ocean Health Services and developed a COVID-19 screening app to help businesses return to work safely during the pandemic. The company expanded and as the demand for our services increased, we opened our direct primary care practice, as well as offered our app to other practices to help provide a solution for businesses and individuals all over the US.

Dr. Farley attended Baylor University where she was a student athlete as well as a Magna Cum Laude Graduate. She then attended UT Houston Medical School on a military scholarship. Following her graduation from medical school, she completed her internship in family medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. She served as a military flight surgeon for four years and cared for our Nation’s Marine, Airforce, Army and Navy pilots and aircrew.  She has been the CEO and Founder of Blue Ocean Health Services since her separation from the military in July 2020.

Community Involvement

Dr. Farley is an active member of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Farley is partnering with the Great Keller Chamber to help offer rapid COVID testing at no cost to small businesses in the local area.

Dr. Farley also works with Pregnancy 4 U by leading their lactation medicine course.
